I didn’t thought this place was spacious but it is. And the food is We tried their fajita platter, fish platter, gyros and chicken sandwich, Pakoda chips and chicken wings. The salad and sauce selection is amazing. We absolutely love the freshness of food. Plus it’s also very budget friendly

Food was spectacular! We ordered the platter which has HUGE portions which we ended up saving for home. The price and affordability for the food was very good — you definitely get your bang for your buck. What really brought this all together were the friendly staff and how we all bonded over our experiences in New York. 10/10 Would definitely come again.

I had a great experience at Shah's Halal Food – Houston! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and everything tasted authentic and delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. I really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be coming back again. New and only TX outpost of a popular NYC-style gyro shop serving up tasty and hefty platters, wrap, and burgers at a great value. There's been a wave of these kinds of shops moving into HTX, and this one serves up a great platter with standout fresh ingredients. Vibe: very casual with ample seating. Service was good and fast. Food: Ordered a combo platter of chicken and lamb over rice with salad, beans, grilled onions, white sauce, and red sauce and took it to go. Ate it about 25 minutes later. Marinated chicken was tender, flavorful, and cut into thick chunks - one of my favorite versions of this in a halal platter. Lamb gyro is also served diced into thick chunks and tasted good. The salad stood out as very fresh which I enjoyed a lot. White sauce is pretty mild and doesn't stand out, red sauce gives a nice kick. I regret not adding the green sauce (like a cilantro lime flavor) as I feel like it would have completed the white sauce nicely and tied it together better. Rice was pretty plain and a little too watery for my preference.

As always I start with service- Great customer service upon entry Food- good options, I had the chicken platter and falafel. The chicken and sauces were good- but the falafel was 2/5, pretty dry but seasoned well. The chickpeas looked like they came straight out of a can and the pita is regular store bought. Can be found at Phonecia. But the suaces are good- I enjoy spice so next time I'll do more red sauce, and they balance well with the white sauce and cilantro drizzle. Atmosphere- Nicely decorated super spacious. Going to go back again to try the swai fish gyro.

Tried Shah’s Halal Food and it was really good. The chicken over rice was flavorful and the pita was fresh. The place has a nice ambience and the staff were super patient and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving halal food.

Walk in and ordered the combo. I like the variety of additions they have like the hummus, chickpeas, black beans etc. you watch him make it and it was packed either way flavor. I added 3 strips of spicy sauce which wasn’t that spicy. Overall this might be my new halal spot.

Portion is sumptuous. Meat is flavorful. Bamasti rice is excellent. The fixings are well cooked with perfect amount of herbs. Well staffed and quick service but could benefit with some extra training on friendliness. Clean environment.
